Paige LeClair

Paige is originally from Prince Edward Island, where she started her Step Dancing dance career in at the age of three. She joined the Judy MacLean Dancers and for over ten years performed at various events, fundraisers and concerts and a regular performer at Rainbow Valley. Paige has travelled across Canada, and has won many awards for her dancing, fiddling and choreography.  She has had the opportunity to perform with some of the best fiddlers in the country, including Stephanie Cadman, Richard Wood, Ivan Hicks and Ben Rutz.

Over the last decade Paige has had the opportunity to teach Step Dancing in various provinces at reputable dance studios: College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts of Canada in Summerside, PEI and the Bonnie Kilburn Dance Studio in Fredericton, NB, and now teaches at CDE Dance Academy in Pembroke, ON.

In recent years, Paige has performed with the College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts of Canada in their seasonal production of Highland Storm, where she was both a principal dancer, fiddler, vocalist and dance captain. Her most notable performance was for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during their visit to Prince Edward Island in 2011. Some of her other accomplishments in the performing arts include: opening for the RCMP Musical Ride, performing with Breakfast Television, opening for the PEI Music Awards. 

Since relocating to Petawawa in 2018, she has been working to receive her Associate BATD in Traditional Step Dancing, and continues to pursue dance for fun performing within the community and dancing with the 2 CMBG Pipes and Drums as a Highland dancer.

Paige is excited to be sharing Maritime and Ottawa Valley step dancing with the world.
