Sarah Wilfong
Sarah Wilfong started playing fiddle professionally in Chicago pubs at age twelve. After relocating to Nashville in 2004, she connected with the trad music scene in Music City and continues to play in pubs as often as possible. Sarah is an experienced educator, having taught Irish music at Vanderbilt’s Blair School of Music, and at workshops around the country. Her fiddle playing and string arrangements can be found on scores of albums, the most notable being a recently discovered and posthumously released track, “The Way is Love”, by Roy Orbison on the 25th anniversary re-release of his iconic album Mystery Girl. Sarah has recorded and released two solo albums of original and traditional fiddle tunes, and is one half of the Nashville-based Irish duo Kettle of Fish.
